The boys are back for Episode 33 joined by President and Founder of the Talent Projekt in Germany, Mark Dillon. We discuss with Mark on youth development, the growth of soccer in the US, and scouting talent in all age groups. You don't want to miss this great interview with a great soccer individual who's dedicated over 40 years into the beautiful game, and considered a soccer pioneer. Tune in!
The Talentprojekt model was conceived in 2010 with the intention of bringing young American soccer talents with high potential to Germany to develop within its unequivocally world-class youth development system. The program set out to prove that American athletes with a high soccer IQ and a high level skill set, an adaptable character and willingness to work hard and learn, could close the gap on their European counterparts when given the same advantage.
Mark Dillon joins us again and steps in the eleven for this week. Mark is the CEO and founder of the Talent Projekt in Germany, designed to help young American footballers reach their full potential. This episode we talk about what that development process is like for a young player, especially one who ventures abroad. We also talk about some of what it takes to evolve from a whispering talent to a shouting talent on the world stage.
A special guest is in the 11 this week; Mark Dillon CEO, Founder and Coach at the Talentprojekt in Germany. Brendan chats with Mark about chasing the professional soccer dream and how Germany can be a great incubator for American talent. They chat differences between the game in the United States and Europe and how the future seems brighter than ever for the national pool in the United States. Mark is becoming a pioneer in fostering a new way of developing elite level American talent. This is certainly one you won't want to miss.
